A few weeks ago I wrote about making over our hallway closet and converting it into our sports equipment. I finally got around to shooting a few pictures to share.
I must admit, giving up the closet was one of my better ideas. I’m not saying the occasional cleat isn’t left laying around every now and then (or that bucket of balls doesn’t somehow find its way back into my kitchen). But for the most part it has served its purpose well and everyone (usually) remembers to put all their equipment away.
I decided to leave the closet bar (alright not so much “decided” but rather couldn’t remove it). It actually worked out for the best. I keep a few hangers on the rod and whenever company comes over I still have closet space to hang up our guests coats and jackets.
I’m always looking for inspiration, please share your equipment organizing ideas.
Happy organizing!

Shelf located top of closet: holds: helmets, glove cases, and crate for loose items.

Ball Claw: holds basketball

Installed bat rack on the right side of the closet (can hold up to eight bats)

Bat Rack close up.

Used a shoe organizer we already owned and it now houses gloves, umbrellas, water bottles, and any number of “baseball” related items.

On the floor of the closet we keep both baseball and basketball bags and also the bucket of balls (the thing that started this whole makeover madness)
