If I plan my meals ahead of time my trip to the grocery store is so much quicker and easier. Making your grocery list after you plan out all your meals allows you to stick to the list, maybe even use some coupons, resulting in less spent.
Most families have such busy schedules. school events, church events, sports, etc. Around here, starting in early spring, baseball season takes up a huge part of our week. This is when it’s nice to plan ahead. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to get my son home from school, get him going on homework, and get us ready for baseball game/practice only to realize I don’t have a clue what I’m making for dinner.
While getting my daily fix of Pinterest (yes, I am addicted) I ran across this free menu planning printable, on the DIY Home Sweet Home blog. It really helps keep me organized and saves lots of time. I plan my meals Sunday evenings and keep it posted on our calendar board in the kitchen.
